OTHER WORK

HOBOKEN LOFT / DESIGN-BUILD ARCHITECT + PM / NASTASI ARCHITECTS

Combing of two vertically stacked apartment units. I served as the design-build architect and project manager from design through construction. The connecting staircase and feature wall became substantial fabrication efforts during the project. The concrete forms for the stair treads and EPS wall panels were milled in-house, then later cast and/or installed on-site.

PLOT 16 / DIGITAL DESIGN ARCHITECT / SOM-CHICAGO (BLACKBOX STUDIO)

Design development and management of a highly articulated curtain wall of a 90-story residential tower and 60-story office tower in Moscow.

PROJECT 95731 / DIGITAL DESIGN ARCHITECT / SHoP ARCHITECTS

Project 39571 was designed as a large ‘porch’ with the intention of bringing a community destroyed by Hurricane Katrina back together. I was responsible for creating a parametric model able to design and document over 400 unique trusses instantiated along the length of the building. The documentation strategy we used allowed us to extract construction documents from the model in the form of a spreadsheet we could deliver to the job site.

SAN LI TUN NORTH / DIGITAL DESIGN ARCHITECT / SHoP ARCHITECTS

Designed as “clothing” for an existing building scheme, this block-long Ipe screen wall sought to control light levels in the boutique showrooms, while providing a level of privacy for the patrons. My role in this project was to develop a parametric model of the screen wall system, design the componentry, and provide the contractor with instructions on how to assemble the components on-site.

COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM CAFE / DIGITIAL DESIGN ARCHITECT / MARBLE FAIRBANKS

Design development of an articulated sun-shading system in the new Columbia School of Journalism. Responsible for using solar retracing to minimize direct heat gain through the glass roof above. This was achieved through a series of specific corrugations and perforation patterns.
